I have read all set up instructions and have connected my 9250 via AES to a Cisco/Linksys E3000. I have a cpuple issues I need help figuring out.
1) Thought watching the setup on youtube creates some questions, the vid was created by EnGenius so I am confused. The video shows going through 192.168.1.2 for 9250 setup, I was unable to do this. This method always came back as an unavailable ip. My quandary was heightened by the 9250 showing up on my wireless network as a "connection without IP address" Hmmm. I then tried the connection method attaching the e3000 to the laptop and setting up AES. All seems to have worked...??? Was this right?
2) The light is solid orange on the 9250 now but I unplugged the 9250 and moved it to a better location only to find I needed to re-sync again. Does this mean that after every power outage I will need to re-sync the 9250?
3) I went up stairs and outside to see if my strength had increased... NOT ONE BIT! I tried entering the 192.168.1.2 address and once again it is a no show. My Linksys is still showing however, is this normal? Shouldn't I be communicating w/ the 9250 now?
The e3000 is still at 192.168.1.1 and if I understand the video's the 9250 should be at 192.168.1.2
4) I am confused by the 9250s placement. My thoughts would be that it should be located on the next level up (in my home) from where the router is. However all the reading I've done on EnGenius's site, suggests, the 9250 should only be a few feet from the e3000. If this is not the case, and I should be bringing the 9250 up to the next level of my house, how do I do this and not loose my AES connection?
